I answered the phone thinking it was a legitimate call, and the woman on the other end claimed to be conducting a survey about notable figures in the UK. To my surprise, she seemed to know our name and address. When I asked how she obtained our phone number, she abruptly started saying some rather crude and inappropriate things. Naturally, we hung up immediately. The whole thing felt like a call centre, probably based abroad but somehow connected to the UK. Has anyone else come across this lot?

I received a missed call from this number, so I decided to try calling back. Initially, I heard two annoying beeps of a busy tone, followed by the line cutting off. When I attempted to ring it directly, an automated voice informed me that the number I dialled couldn't be recognised. Quite odd, isn't it?
