I've been flooded with dodgy advertising calls from numbers starting with 01992 but ending differently, and they all seem to have that distinct Manchester accent. It seems these con artists can buy a block of numbers with an area code even though they might be miles away from that location. My own 01992 number doesn’t match the local ones that typically start with an 8. When I input the number into one of those “who called me” websites, it flagged it as invalid. Just a heads up!
