kept this guy hanging for ages, pretending to struggle with typing so he’d catch on, < I WAS WELL AWARE WHAT HE WAS DOING >gave him all the right answers, heard his voice lighten up thinking he was about to hack into my computer, then let him down nice and easy by telling him exactly where he could shove it, hung up the phone and bam, he called straight back shouting all sorts of nasty stuff.
Really feel sorry for them? Not one bit.

This guy called me, said his name was Sean and had an Indian accent. When I told him my computer was fine and there wasn’t any issue, he asked again if I was absolutely sure. Then he just hung up on me. Really weird.

This is the third time in three days they've rung me up, and I have to say, it's been pretty entertaining messing with them. The latest call went on for nearly half an hour before I couldn't take their so-called 'fix' for my PC anymore. I told them my TV's internet still wouldn't connect despite their help, and well, that was the end of that!

Answered the phone but no one said a word, was pretty strange. Later I tried 1471 to check who called and it didn’t show as an actual number! Quite odd.

This bloke bored me to death, kept swearing and going on about football or something, sounded like he might have been Indian or Indonesian. He wouldn’t let me use my PC at all. Then he asked what I was looking at on my screen and I told him I was about to book a hotel. What a waste of time!

A bloke rang me, asking if I was the main user of the computer and whether I knew that the antivirus everyone uses wouldn’t actually stop someone accessing the machine. When I asked why he was ringing, he just kept going on about how the computer could be accessed despite the antivirus. When I pressed for the name of the company, he said it was called Dech IT Support and based somewhere in Greater London. We got into a long chat about how safe systems really are, and he suggested their company knew about all antivirus products people use. He admitted the call was offline but said he could log in and check our computer’s security. I asked where they got our info from, and he claimed it was all publicly available. Then, when I asked if they bothered checking the TPS list or respecting households that don’t take cold calls, he just hung up on me.
