Got a call from someone speaking with an Asian accent, but they just hung up right away. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.

Whenever I get a call with an Asian accent starting with "how are you today," I usually just cut it off and block the number. Pretty sure it's one of those scams, no point wasting time on it.

I just let it ring 5 times and then ended the call. They haven’t tried ringing back again. Seems like your guess was spot on.

I just had a right laugh with some Indian bloke who said he was representing EE. I couldn't help but tease him a bit, suggesting he might actually be from O2 after seeing some of the chatter on this site. He seemed properly baffled when I mentioned my name, even though he claimed to be from my network provider! I think I got under his skin enough for him to hang up on me in the end. What a hoot!

Got a call from a +44 number, and since I’m here in England, it caught my attention. Didn’t pick up, and the call stopped after about 5 rings. They didn’t leave any voicemail either. Feels like a dodgy call, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

I first received a call from 01514533247, where a woman was attempting to entice me with a 40% discount on my O2 bill. I decided to silence my phone, which prompted them to hang up and subsequently call me back from a different number. It was the same lady again, quite persistent!

Every time I answer the phone and greet them, there’s just complete silence on the other side before they disconnect. Conversely, when I pick up and remain silent, I get this robotic voice with an American twang that simply says, "Goodbye," before they hang up. It feels like my number has been passed on to some dubious company, or perhaps some shady individual from one of these online firms has gotten hold of customer details. This all kicked off shortly after I made an online purchase.

I received a call from someone purporting to be from O2, who was all too keen to offer me a 40% discount and a surprisingly affordable iPhone upgrade. However, they then went on to ask for my bank details to claim this supposed deal. It's best to steer clear of such callers. If you give them any of your banking information, it’s a surefire way to see your funds vanish in an instant!
