11 yearsToday, I received a rather dubious call from this number, involving some alleged issues with my computer. When I inquired about his employer, he claimed to be a Microsoft-certified technician. Naturally, I probed further and asked if he was indeed employed by Microsoft, to which he responded that the company never makes outbound calls. I pressed him for the name of his actual company, but he dodged the question entirely. The caller then instructed me to press a series of keys on my keyboard, and when I informed him that a message had appeared, he asked me what it said. I cheekily replied, “It states not to heed a word from the bloke on the line since he's chatting absolute nonsense!” This seemed to ruffle his feathers, and he accused me of wasting both his time and mine, insisting it wasn't a scam at all. With a rather brusque farewell, he wished me a splendid day before abruptly hanging up. Quite the experience!Microsoft11 yearsReceived a call from this number earlier today. A woman with an accent that sounded overseas claimed she was reaching out regarding my Windows PC. I informed her that her spiel was nonsensical and that I’m on the Telephone Preference Service list. She promptly disconnected. Honestly, who do these people think they are?Preference Service11 yearsI just received a rather curious phone call from a gentleman sporting a Filipino accent, claiming there was an issue with my computer. I promptly informed him that my computer was perfectly fine and that I was well aware he was attempting to pull a fast one. Despite my clear dismissal of his dubious claims, he persisted in his attempt to persuade me it was legitimate. Annoyed, I told him to shove off and mentioned I'd be contacting the police about his nonsense. At that point, he hastily ended the call!11 yearsYeah, they said my computer was busted and tried to scam me.11 yearsJust received a call from a gentleman with a pronounced Indian accent on this number claiming there were issues with my Windows PC... you know how it goes. I indulged him for roughly ten minutes as he prompted me to "hit this key, click that icon..." Eventually, I confessed that I didn’t actually own a computer. I mentioned I rather fancied having a little 'chum' on the line for a spell. I even suggested he might fancy ringing me more frequently and that we could switch roles - I could be the lad and he could be the lass... There was an awkward silence for a bit before he abruptly hung up.11 yearsI just received yet another ridiculous spiel regarding tech support, complete with ominous warnings about my computer potentially spiralling into a meltdown at any given second. What a load of rubbish! It’s obviously just a scam!11 yearsThey tried to pull that classic “your computer’s got a problem” nonsense on me. Total scam, don’t fall for it!11 yearsJust received a call from this number, but I decided not to pick it up as it seemed clearly dodgy - far too many digits for a genuine phone number. Did a quick search and discovered it’s yet another computer scam. Reminds me of a similar experience I had a couple of years back before I got my own computer. I managed to keep the chap on the line for nearly 15 minutes, coaxing him into confirming it was indeed my home computer he was rambling on about. Eventually, I lost interest and pointed out the obvious - namely, that it was a scam since I didn’t own a computer at home. I then hung up. Not sure if today’s call was from the same lot, but as I mentioned, I let it ring since the number looked all wrong.11 yearsI've noticed that when we answer the call and mention THE PRISON, asking which inmate they wish to speak to, they promptly disconnect. Quite amusing, really!11 yearsJust another load of codswallop regarding tech support, and a rather alarming heads-up that our device might topple over any second now. It's all just a massive swindle!11 yearsI had a call from this number earlier, and the person on the other end claimed there was an issue with my computer. I couldn’t help but chuckle for a good few minutes! Eventually, I told her how sorry I felt that she had to engage in that sort of work, and I sincerely wished her luck in finding something a bit more proper instead.11 yearsI received a rather dubious phone call earlier today. A chap with a thick Indian accent insisted there was an issue with my computer. When I responded with, "Oh, is that so? I presume you’ll need my banking details then," he became rather aggressive. I made it clear that I recognised the ploy, but he continued to insist it was all above board and urged me to enter some information on my machine. At that point, I decided enough was enough and terminated the call.11 yearsI just had a call from this number, but there was nothing but silence on the other end. I hung up straight away.11 yearsI just received a call from this scammer pretending to be helpful. She introduced herself as "Angelina" and claimed to be calling regarding my computer. I didn’t hold back and told her she was nothing but a con artist, then advised her to jog on! She had the audacity to respond with a “you too!” before hanging up. Honestly, these dodgy characters really ought to be dealt with!Angelina11 yearsYet another dodgy IT support conmerchants! I must admit, I rather startled them with my response: "My computer's perfectly fine, so do one, you thieving muppet!" Admittedly, it was a bit direct, but they really picked the wrong moment to ring me up, didn't they? 😂11 yearsReceived a call claiming there was an issue with my PC and they offered to assist me in resolving it by guiding me to enter certain details on my device.
