The chap on the other end then queried, "So, you haven’t had any accident then?" To which I replied, "How on earth would I know? You’re the one who called me about it!" He insisted, "We obtained the details from the National Accident Database." I pressed, "And who exactly contributes to that?" He mentioned insurers record their accidents, but admitted it could well be an error when he realised I’ve never been in an accident. I said, "Look, no offence, but we both know full well I’m not on any accident list. This is just a random sales pitch, so kindly remove my number from your records."
