There was complete silence from the other end, then the call just dropped.

Got a call early this morning around 8, man said he was Alex, but had a really thick Asian accent. Claimed he was from BT internet and warned my internet would be disconnected in a couple of hours. I told him it sounded like nonsense, but he kept going on. So I said I was going to report the number to the police for fraud attempts, and he hung up sharpish after that.

Got a couple of calls from this number in the past hour, didn’t pick up though. Seemed like they were tweaking the last few digits each time, probably so I wouldn’t block them easily. The number looks something like 01986794328. Total scammer move if you ask me.

some woman from bt internet called me, her voice was hard to understand, sounded like a busy call centre. i just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

So, some guy saying he was ‘Alex Wilson from BT internet’ called me. I was like, really BT? I just said thanks for the call and then quickly ended it. Felt off, no chance I’m falling for that.
