Just got a call from someone saying they're from BT claiming there’s an issue with my internet. Total scam, don't tell them anything!

Someone rang up pretending to be from BT about problems with our email, which was actually true cos our account had been hacked and we couldn’t log in. After that, they said they needed to take control of our computer to fix it - like BT normally do. They also promised to give us £300 back because of the trouble we’d had with the email.

Even with my Call Blocker on, this call got through. As soon as I said hello, they just hung up. There was some noise in the background that sounded like it was from a call centre.

Got a call claiming to be BT about my router, which felt like a typical scam. When I asked them to prove who they were by telling me my BT account number, they just refused. Definitely dodgy!
