On Saturday morning, 8th Jan 2022, at about 8:45, I got a call from this number. The caller said they were with the Postcode lottery and told me I'd won some money. They then asked for my bank details to send the prize. I refused to share any details, and after that, the line went dead.

Got a random cold call that my TrueCall blocker caught straight away. The moment the screener picked up, the caller just dropped the line after a couple of seconds. I've already passed the number on to Vodafone, who handle our PSTN service, so they can look into it and maybe stop that number from bothering anyone else on their network.

On 7th January 2022, at about 9:53am, I got a call from a man with a strong foreign accent. He claimed he needed my postcode, bank details and sort code to process an HMRC refund I’d apparently requested. It sounded dodgy to me, so he passed me to a woman, also with a foreign accent, who was quite pushy, insisting it wasn’t a scam. I asked where she was ringing from and she said Edinburgh. When I informed him that I'd prefer to have my details removed from their records, he rather cheekily inquired why I wasn't keen on the offer. I cut him off, reiterating my request to erase my name from their database, to which he bluntly replied, “No Ma’am, I won’t do that,” before abruptly ending the call. On 12th October 2021, I received a call where the person started with "Good morning Sir." I’m actually a lady and have been for 72 years, so that threw me off a bit. They then asked about my online banking, which I don’t even use. The caller then said they could remove my account details if I gave them my bank number. I just hung up and went straight to my bank to make sure everything was fine. It was quite upsetting and made me feel uneasy - you’d think your own home is meant to be a safe place.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who said she was from the Telephone Preference Management Service. She asked if I was still getting annoying calls, and I replied, "Are you talking about this one?" She immediately ended the call. Pretty sure it was a scam.

I received a call from this number, and to my surprise, they already had my name and address without me providing any details. They requested my date of birth, but I declined to share that information, and then the caller abruptly ended the call.

Got a call from 01985340765, with quite a pause before he spoke. Said he was from Amazon’s security team, but had a strong Asian accent. Told him I wasn’t buying any of it. Went on to ask about his family background and how he managed to rest at night with such dodgy stories.

I received a call from someone claiming that my Telephone Preference Service registration had lapsed. They even began to mention my name and address, but I didn’t stick around to find out more and ended the call. I suspect they were about to try and extract money from me!

My mum, who has really bad hearing, got a call from this number at around 7:45 in the morning. She couldn’t hear anything and just ended up hanging up, luckily.

I got a call from an Asian guy speaking with a really thick accent, I could hardly make out what he was saying. He claimed he was from the telephone preference service. I ended the call straight away 'cause I just couldn’t understand him. Then he rang me back! He asked if the annoying calls were still coming through, and when I said yes, he offered to sort out my subscription renewal. But then he started giving me my address - which was all wrong. I told him to stop and said I’d handle the renewal myself online. Definitely a dodgy scam!

Got a call from someone called Kevin claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). He asked for payment to keep the service going - definitely a scam, so watch out!

They said they were a nuisance call blocking company. They already knew a bit about me and then wanted me to give them more personal info, which I didn’t.

They pretended to be representatives of TPS (Telephone Preference Service) and attempted to solicit payment to keep the service going. It's a total scam! Just a heads up, TPS is entirely FREE of charge.

Received a call from this number today, picked up and there was this awkward silence, then suddenly loads of chatter and a woman talking in the background. I quickly ended the call and decided to check who they were. Looks like I avoided something dodgy.
