Got a call from a woman claiming to be from BT, saying there was an issue with my internet connection. Luckily, we hadn’t noticed any problems recently, so I was pretty suspicious right from the start. I kept asking her what the issue was exactly, trying to hear what she’d say. Then I passed the phone to my husband, who sorts out all internet stuff, and she just ended the call straight away. Definitely not BT, especially since the number was local. I only picked up thinking it could be an elderly person who’d dialled the wrong number. Total scam, no doubt about it.
