I received a rather peculiar call from someone with an unusual accent. He asserted he was ringing up on behalf of our energy provider, stating that he needed to verify our home due to the fact that I apparently had windows that were a decade old. Without hesitation, I blocked the number right away!

I'm well fed up with telling these lot that I'm not the lady they're trying to reach and I've already told them to take my number off their list. Got another call today and once more they said "Mrs C." I told the bloke it was the wrong number, but he kept going “Miss C, Miss C, I don’t appreciate the fibs.” Proper annoying! I've rung them back, made a complaint about the daft caller, and once again asked them to delete my number. Let's see if it actually happens ??

Somebody rang me on my mobile but I just didn’t pick up. When I looked up the number online, it led me to this site to check if it was a scam or not.

Got a ring on my phone from 01985 204003 earlier, some bloke saying he was calling about the energy loss in my windows. The guy was really pushy and got proper rude when I started asking stuff, said I was bothering him. Said he knew my postcode and wanted to pop round. I just ended the call straight away.

Total scam, his accent sounded like he was from somewhere around Pakistan or Afghanistan. He claimed he worked for some energy company and needed to check my house because apparently I have windows that are over 10 years old. He kept asking for my address and if my missus lived with me. I tried giving him the police station's address just to throw him off but he just couldn’t get what I was saying and said he’d call me back. Then another bloke rang from 01274271806 with the same rubbish about needing to visit my home and wanted my address again. I just ended the call straight away. - caller: Scammer

this seems to be the newest trick from double glazing sales teams, they say they’ll recycle your old glass and offer ‘a discount’. looks like a bunch of independents linked to some sales firm. it’s probably how they dodge the ofcom rules about cold calls. they’ve got your name, address, and even details like your property’s energy rating from public info. usually the first call is just to open the door for the actual salesman. if you’re not keen, just hang up straight away.

Got two calls from this number today. Picked up the second time and they asked for Mr Rumbsey - not me though. When I told them I only speak Welsh, they obviously used their great communication skills and just yelled "IS MR RUMBSEY THERE" down the phone. Says everything you need to know about this caller. If they're employing someone like a Boris Johnson wannabe, they definitely should be blocked straight away.

Energy Glass phoned me twice today wanting to speak to someone by name but it wasn’t Mel. I called them back and told them off verbally but honestly, this feels like it should be reported properly. Two out of the three people I spoke to even gave me the address of the woman they were looking for! Seems a bit dodgy to me.

i normally pick up unknown numbers but keep quiet till i know who it is. this one just said hi, and when i stayed silent, they went straight to calling me a ‘mother f###er’. so yeah, not someone worth talking to. i reckon if they’re gonna bother me with random calls, i can bother them by leaving the line dead quiet. pretty clever if you ask me!

So this number called me and I missed it, but the voicemail left was... well, pretty rude! It said something like, "Hope you're not being sarcastic, you cheeky bugger," and then it just hung up. I rang back, and the person on the other end actually knew my name and asked how I was doing. I quickly asked why they were calling and told them to remove me from their list. He was really rude, saying “I’m just taking meter readings, I don’t care,” before hanging up on me.
