This was definitely one of those scam calls. As soon as I picked up, there was silence for several seconds. Then a woman with a strong accent asked if she was talking to the person who owns the phone number, but she completely butchered my surname (it’s not hard to say, especially for English speakers). When I told her she got it wrong and asked her to remove my number because I wasn’t going to be tricked, she started shouting at me. She warned that if I didn’t cooperate, I’d get calls every single day, and then she abruptly hung up on me.
