Some woman called 'Rose' from BT, with a strong Indian accent, saying my computer was under attack and I needed to switch it on so she could fix things for me. I told her if she really saw someone hacking me, she should be able to tell me the IP address of the hacker. Lo and behold, she just hung up on me after that! I rang BT afterwards, and they just told me it’s a scam and to ignore it. Yeah, well, easier to say than do, BT!

Had a call from someone called "Rose" claiming to be from BT Openreach. With a strong Indian accent, she got quite confused when I started laughing and asked me what was so funny. Then she tried to go back to her usual scam routine, but then she just suddenly cut me off. Totally felt like a dodgy scam call.

I had a similar call where they told me my router had malware and suggested I turn off my internet. They asked me to open my laptop so they could fix the problem, but it didn't feel right at all. Stay safe and don't let them have access to your devices!

Totally dodgy call, I reckon it was from some scammers in India based on the bloke’s accent. I just played along and kept him chatting for ages to waste his time. The longer I kept him on, the less chance he had to scam other people. If you get a call like this, I’d suggest doing the same - he actually seemed quite interested when we started talking about his silly obsession with turnips!

Got a few calls from this number recently. The person on the other end had a strong foreign accent, and they claimed to be from BT, saying my internet would be cut off for 21 days. I just said cheers and hung up straight away.

SCAM ALERT - Got a call from someone named Kevin claiming to be from BT Openreach. He went on about my broadband having issues and said my emails were loading slowly. Total nonsense, clearly just another dodgy scam! Stay clear of this one.

We kept getting calls today from 01984632646, over 30 times, but each caller used a different number. The guy had an Indian accent and introduced himself as either Dave or Kevin. First, he said he was from BT Openreach, then switched to British Telecom Openreach, which made me chuckle. Since I handle all our BT stuff in IT, we decided to mess around with him for a bit. We’ve told everyone here not to pick up or just hang up straight away!

Got a call from some bloke named Henry, definitely not local, talking mad about my internet. He sounded pure dodgy, getting all aggressive and then started wheezing heavy down the phone. Next thing he does is threaten to shoot me before telling me to get lost with some rude words. Proper scary and not normal at all.

This bloke sounded Asian, his English was really bad. Claimed he was calling from BT. I told him he’s likely one of the many who’ve rang me over the last three years pretending to be from TalkTalk. He just hung up on me and now he’s on my block list. Proper fed up with these annoying calls!

So I got a call from a bloke saying he was with bt openreach. I told him to ring me again later so I could verify who he really was. He wanted me to check the router and watch the lights, but I wasn’t having any of it, so I ended the call quick. These nuisance calls are proper frustrating, honestly. The government is just useless, not having sorted this problem out yet. It’s not the fault of the phone companies either, they can’t control everything. What’s really needed is some tough laws to crack down on these time-wasting calls. But I doubt anything will change, especially if there’s cash involved somewhere. The Tories couldn’t care less about this sort of thing. I’m not trying to make a political rant, it’s just how things seem to be.

I got a call from a woman with a heavy Asian accent, and you could hear loads of noise like a crowded call centre in the background. She said her name was ‘Rose’ and claimed to be ringing from BT about issues with my internet. I just ended the call straight away. Watch out, this doesn’t seem legit at all. Could be a scam or worse.
