I got a call from someone claiming to be from BT Openworld, telling me that my internet speed was dropping and they could fix it. When I asked if they knew who I was, the person said “obviously, I have all your information". So I challenged her to tell me my name, but suddenly she said she couldn’t see anything on her screen. I kept questioning her, but then she just hung up. Sounds dodgy to me (and I’m not even a BT Openworld customer!).

We picked up the phone and both our home landlines got this recorded voice telling us our internet would be cut off in the next 24 hours. The message then asked us to press certain keys depending on who supplies our internet.
