Last week, I got called 12 times in just one day. I told them to stop calling me, and I thought that would be the end of it. But then yesterday, they rang me 3 times in 15 minutes! I told them once more to stop, but I doubt they’ll listen. I’m looking into whether the police can step in because this feels like harassment to me.

On Friday the 5th, I received five calls from this number between 11 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon, plus another one when I wasn’t home. The first couple of calls were from quite rude women who didn’t sound English, so I hung up straight away. After that, I let two more calls come through, then checked 1471. There was one more call showing up, but 1471 only lets you see the last few numbers, so there might’ve been others I missed. Then today, around 9.20am, 9.56am, and now just before 11am, I’ve had silent calls with the number hidden. I’ve just managed to block one batch, but now I’m getting these from a new number. Being in a wheelchair makes this all the more frustrating - I really don’t need this hassle at all.

I’ve had loads of calls today, 29/11/2014, plus quite a few over the last month. At first, it’s a very polite voice, either a woman or man with an Indian accent (hard to tell) claiming to do a survey for some company I’ve never heard of and certainly don’t want. When I firmly say I’m not interested in their nosy questions, they just hang up... then keep ringing back repeatedly, sometimes with awful connection or total silence with no sound. The weird thing is, they all seem linked to Virgin Media. I hardly got these nuisance calls before, but after switching to Virgin for my phone and broadband in mid-August 2014, the spam calls (like PPI stuff) have been relentless, especially from this particular number. I honestly reckon Virgin’s to blame for passing on my info somehow. Anyone else noticed a similar pattern? (Oh, and don’t get me started on the broadband speeds they promised - nowhere near what they said, but that’s a different rant really)

Today alone I've been getting calls from numbers starting with 15 up to 17. I use a Panasonic phone and I've finally blocked those numbers, but honestly don’t know if it'll do much good!

Got about 17 calls over 4 hours, which drove me mad. Eventually answered and spoke to a young lass with an Indian accent, told her to stop calling or I'd lose it. Thought that'd be the end of it but no, 5 minutes after, another ring, spoke to a bloke, told him how fed up I was, and he just went quiet and hung up on me. Absolutely pathetic.

Today they've called me around 25 times within 8 hours. Most of the time no one answers, but the last call was different. A lady answered and said she was with UK Harvest. When I asked to talk to a manager or someone responsible, she claimed there wasn’t anyone like that. I found that hard to believe. Then she warned me they’d keep calling until I finished their survey! And just like that, she ended the call!

I keep getting nonstop calls while I'm trying to get on with my work, and it’s seriously annoying me beyond belief! I’m going to see if I can report this to someone who might actually take action. You can often block certain numbers quite easily. It’s worth contacting your phone provider to see what blocking options they can offer you. But there’s also a handy trick that won’t cost you anything and doesn’t take much time, if your phone supports it. For example, I’ve got a Panasonic cordless phone that lets me block numbers through its menu. I’d imagine a lot of other brands have something similar built-in. On mine, I hit the CALLER LIST button first, then press OK. I scroll through the calls I’ve received until I spot the number that’s been pestering me (01983810085). Next, I press the same button again and look for the “ADD BAR LIST” option in the menu. When it shows up, I just press OK and that’s it, the number is blocked. This little method could be a real lifesaver for anyone with Panasonic phones dealing with annoying callers. Hopefully it helps! :)

Had these calls nonstop for the past week, sometimes up to 10 times daily. I even contacted my phone company to block the number but apparently there’s a charge for that!! Honestly, it's awful what these small business owners are dealing with right now. I’d recommend reporting this straight to Ofcom - I’ve done that myself. If nothing changes, another option could be alerting BBC Radio 4’s 'You and Yours' programme to see if they can help get to the bottom of it. Everyone experiencing this, or seeing it happen, should really consider taking those steps. The people running the businesses, whose income is suffering badly, have already reached out to their phone provider, Ofcom, and Action Fraud, but as far as I’m aware, no one’s fixed the problem yet. If this scam is spreading to legit UK numbers, it really needs to be properly looked into and stopped fast. Who knows, next time it might be YOUR number that these fraudsters take over.

I don’t know who’s behind this Isle of Wight number 01983 810085, but they’re really annoying. They’ve called me like 20 times in two days. I’ve had to switch my answerphone on permanently just so I don’t have to keep answering. Poor UK business if their number’s been taken over like that.

It’s been over a fortnight now and this just hasn’t ended yet, seems like it won’t be stopping anytime soon either! For anyone who’s just come across this, the phone number you looked up actually belongs to our firm but it’s being used in a dodgy practice called spoofing, where scammers pretend to be us by faking the caller ID. Really sorry about all the hassle it’s caused.

In just a couple of hours, I’ve had my phone blow up 9 times. Each ring, I’m hoping it’s something urgent, but nope, just these annoying people hassling me. They even had the nerve to say I was being rude for not answering their questions. Properly irritating! I mentioned that I was getting over 50 calls each day and asked them to remove me from their calling list. In the past couple of days, I've had about 15 calls from this number. The last one was about half an hour ago, and thankfully it was a bloke who actually talked. I told him to stop calling, but he said he’d keep ringing every 30 minutes until I answered his questions. I asked him what part of “leave me alone” he didn’t get. Then he started threatening, saying if I just answered his questions, they’d stop calling. I told him to piss off and find something better to do with his time.

This number keeps ringing me over and over, it’s relentless. I signed up with the telephone preference service but they say there’s nothing they can do. Looks like lots of others are in the same boat too. I reported it to BT, but then they tried to sell me some service to block these calls. Nobody seems to be really sorting this out unless you fork out money. Seeing loads of comments online about this, but no sign that anyone’s actually fixing the issue.

Got a call at 9.25am, no one spoke just an automated "goodbye" message, then at 9.50am some bloke with a strange accent called. When I told him the woman he was after doesn’t live here anymore, he called me a lying b*****d and hung up. It’s now 10am, don’t know how soon they’ll ring again. Properly annoying!
