Got a call on my home phone with the 01983 area code on 17th July 2024 around 1:15 pm. A recorded message from a woman with a British accent said that there had been charges on my card - £300 to Amazon and another £1100 sent abroad. They said these transactions looked suspicious and didn’t match how I usually use my card. They then told me to press 1 to stop the payments or press 2 to talk to an agent. Definitely a scam, so I just ended the call.
