The caller just stayed quiet when I said hello, so I ended up hanging up straight away if they didn’t answer right back.

Got a call from some robo voice claiming my BT router was hacked and cut off unless I press 1. They said they were calling from California or something. I don’t even use BT, I’m with Virgin and my internet’s fine. Just hung up, total scam.

Got a call from someone pretending to be BT. Told them I already had a recorded call from another number, and they just ended the call straight away. Blocked them now, but I’m sure they’ll ring back from a different number soon.

Everyday a new number from these scammers, like they think we’ll pick up anything. Seriously, when will they realise that loads of us only pick up calls from numbers we know or have on our preferred list!!!

Got a dodgy call pretending to be BT, and after I called the idiot who rang me a “muppet” when I questioned them, I just blocked the number straight away.

It’s always some Asian person calling with a fake English name, isn’t it? Definitely scammers, no doubt. I’ve lost count - this has got to be the seventh time I’ve had one of these calls this week alone. Lucky I’m not home all day or I’d go mad! Maybe I should just unleash the Daleks on them or something!

Got this call from a woman speaking with a really clear American accent, claiming she was from BT. She kept saying my phone line was about to be disconnected and asked me to press 1 if I was a BT customer or 2 if not. Felt fishy straight away, so I just ended the call. Seems like another classic scam to me.

I received a rather peculiar phone call today that kicked off with an automated message. It then changed to a person on the line, although they were hardly the sort of human one might expect. Clearly a scammer from India, the chap claimed my BT phone line had been 'compromised' by some nefarious character over in California. He introduced himself with a thick accent, which was barely comprehensible, as 'Sean Wilson'. Perhaps he's got a few Irish roots somewhere in the mix, who knows? In any case, I promptly told 'Sean' to take a hike.

I got a call from a woman speaking with an American accent who said she was calling from BT. She warned that my phone line was going to be disconnected soon and told me to enter some numbers to stop it. It felt dodgy, so I just ended the call straight away.

So, this number just rang me up and there was some robotic voice saying my BT Internet's been hacked or something and it'll be cut off soon, then asking me to wait for someone to help. I ended the call straight away and blocked it. Looks like yet another rip-off! Seriously, why doesn't the government put in place an official No Call Register where you can report these calls and they actually get fined? They have this in America, which is way bigger than the UK, so why can’t our government step up and do something useful to stop these annoying scammers??!

Got two calls from this number today, total scammers! They said they were from Microsoft, but I’m not falling for that nonsense. Just ended the call straight away. These lot are trying to trick people who don’t realise what’s going on. Rang Virgin Media and they said there’s nothing they can do about it! If this number rings you, just ignore it and hang up immediately!

Got a call from someone speaking really bad English, sounded like from the subcontinent, saying my BT router wasn’t working and to press 1 to speak to an “engineer.” This is the second time I’ve had this call within a week with the same story. I’m not even a BT customer, so it’s clearly a scam.
