Absolutely a con! I received a recorded message claiming to be from HMRC, threatening legal proceedings over supposed tax arrears. The message warned that if I didn't press 1, an arrest warrant for tax fraud would be issued in my name. Utter nonsense!

Got a call earlier but missed it, no clue who was calling. After seeing all the comments, I'm pretty sure it's just a scam.

It's pretty upsetting that they have my full details - name, address, even my postcode. I told the lady I was about to report her to the police, and she just ended the call. Honestly, there needs to be stricter action taken against these calls, especially to protect those who are more vulnerable.
