I received an automated call claiming to be from Amazon, thanking me for a purchase and informing me that they would be charging over £300 to my card. They instructed me to press 1 if I believed this was a mistake. I ended the call straight away, as it’s quite clear Amazon doesn’t contact customers regarding orders in this manner, especially not from a number originating in the Isle of Wight!
