Got hit with three calls so far, all asking for me but using a wrong spelling of my old surname. They claimed to be 'mortgage advisors' and were asking loads of questions like how much my house is worth, what my mortgage balance is, and if I wanted to switch mortgage plans. I told them I’m signed up with the TPS and to stop ringing me, they promised to take me off their list. But sure enough, they called back the very next day, so I ended up blowing my sports whistle right into the phone as loudly as I could! Hopefully that taught them a lesson!

Got a call from what looked like a local number but it sounded like it was from some call centre abroad. A recorded voice with a strange accent said my call was important and to hang on for an agent. Pretty sure it was one of those classic scammy telemarketers. Fingers crossed I didn’t end up ringing back a premium line by mistake, thinking it was just a normal local call.
