I received a call from this number today, and lo and behold, the caller ID displayed an Isle of Wight area code-definitely not in my contacts!
The chap on the other end had the audacity to address me by my name and claimed my Volkswagen needed a cambelt replacement. When I mentioned I didn’t own the vehicle anymore, he simply brushed it off and when I questioned why a call from the Isle of Wight was associated with a dealership in Cheshire, he muttered something about others having made similar remarks before abruptly hanging up.
I've since reached out to the dealership from where I purchased the car, and they haven’t got a clue about it either!
