I wasn’t home when they rang about some Sky Q thing, so my other half said to ring back in about an hour. When I got in, I looked up the number and, of course, it was a dodgy scam call. My partner was convinced it was legit since they’d just set up the Q box and the caller mentioned an upgrade. Needless to say, that number’s been blocked now.

Yesterday I got a call from a woman claiming she was from Sky insurance, saying she could help us save some money or something. Then she wanted my bank info. I told her our bank was TSB, and she asked for the last 4 numbers on my card, saying it was just to check my details. I told her we aren’t actually with TSB, and she suddenly said it was an error or something. Apparently this only works if you’ve got Sky Q. Definitely hang up on these calls!

I also asked how they even knew what I pay (which, btw, I don’t pay Sky for maintenance at all).
