Got a voicemail from this number saying BT had spotted some dodgy activity on my IP address. They told me to press 9 to chat with an operator and cautioned me against using online banking until it was sorted. It all seemed proper legit until the bit about not using online banking - that raised a red flag for me. So I pressed 9 and got put through to a guy with an Indian accent who couldn’t answer a single question about my details and hung up in less than 10 seconds. Tried ringing back using 1471, but all I got was a dead tone. Total waste of time.
