I received a call from someone purporting to be from British Gas, requesting my personal information. When I inquired about their identity, they merely claimed to represent the company and insisted that I verify my details. I declined to do so, and they promptly ended the call. So it seems this caller was, or claimed to be, British Gas. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
