Within a quarter of an hour, I got another call from almost the same number, so I thought I’d pick up this time. After a bit of silence, the person on the line said they were from Sky and offered a 40% discount on my bill. I wasn’t feeling very sure about it and didn’t want to carry on with the chat. The caller was quite polite and said thanks for my time before ending the call. I marked the number as harassing because there’s no proof they were really Sky and getting two calls like that so close together felt a bit much.

Somebody rang me saying they were from a firm that was shutting down and that I was owed some cash. They said £75 at first and gave me a card number I didn’t know. Then they asked for my current card details so they could send the money back. When I told them I wasn’t gonna give my card info, they suddenly said I could get £299 instead. That was a bit suspicious. I ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Over the past couple of days, Ive had two calls from this number. The first time, when I picked up, no one said anything. The second time, a man with an Asian accent asked for someone named Lily Brooke, which I don’t know - sounds like a fake name used for scam calls. The guy was quite courteous though and ended the call as soon as I told him he’d got the wrong number. Pretty sure it’s just spam.
