Phone number ☎️ 01980594321 👆 is reported as a persistent scam number targeting UK residents with calls impersonating Virgin Media, Sky, and other providers. Callers often claim there are urgent internet security issues or illegal usage, attempting to pressure recipients into granting remote access or visiting fake websites. They use aggressive tactics and sometimes abusive language when challenged. Multiple voices and background noise suggest a call centre, with some callers adopting Western names but speaking with strong Indian accents. The primary goal appears to be gaining control over personal devices to steal information or install malicious software. Recipients strongly advise against engaging, sharing screens, or downloading software. The number is widely reported to Virgin Media’s fraud team and police fraud portals for investigation. Exercise extreme caution and block the number if contacted.

5 yearsGot a call at 9.12 on the 3rd, no voicemail left, looks like a scam to me.5 yearsGot a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was calling from Virgin about a big issue with my internet. He said he was part of Virgin’s security team and could fix things for me. I told him my internet was fine and that if there was a problem, I’d contact Virgin directly. After that, he just ended the call. Watch out for this kind of scam!VirginVirgin Security5 yearsGot a call claiming to be from Virgin Media, but it’s definitely a scam. Don’t trust it!Virgin Media5 yearsGot a dodgy call claiming there’s an issue with my internet - something about it being illegal or about to be cut off. They were pushing me to log into a fake website or let them on my computer using legit remote software like TeamViewer. If you fall for it, they could easily sneak in malware or swipe your passwords. Definitely a scam, watch out!TeamViewer5 yearsA caller said they were from Virgin Media and told me my account had been hacked.Virgin Media5 yearsSome blokes with heavy Indian accents rang me claiming to be from Sky, going on about hackers messing with my WiFi and loads of mistakes that supposedly needed fixing. They asked to share my screen, which immediately set off alarm bells - no legit company would do that, right? Then they tried to check my Amazon and bank accounts, so I just ended the call. They kept blowing up my phone, but luckily my dad put a stop to it by giving them a piece of his mind when they called last.IndiaSkyAmazon5 yearsthey just ended call right away5 yearsSomebody rang me pretending they were from Sky, but honestly, it didn’t sound convincing at all.Sky5 yearsSo this guy calls and just as I answer, he says he's Lucifer from Virgin Media then just cuts off the call. Weirdest thing!LuciferVirgin Media5 yearsGot a call a minute ago claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse with an amazing offer on an iPhone. Sounded a bit fishy to me.Carphone Warehouse5 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be with Virgin Media, but the bloke spoke with a strong Indian accent and used a very generic, typical English name. Guess they think that using a familiar name makes you drop your guard. They said there was a tech engineer nearby because they'd found someone was mooching off our internet without permission and asked me to check my router for any flashing lights. I usually try to keep these callers chatting for a bit, but when I said everything looked normal, they just cut me off straight away.Virgin Media5 yearsGot a call on my landline from a woman but there was so much noise from a call centre in the background she couldn’t be heard properly, so I just ended the call.5 yearsGot two calls on the same day. Every time I answered, I stayed silent and then the call just cut off.5 yearsThis number rang me up pretending to be Virgin Media, saying there was some issue with my internet. I was a bit baffled, as Virgin isn’t my provider. When I mentioned that, they quickly switched to saying they were from BT Open Reach instead. They then asked me to install TeamViewer quick support on my iPhone. With nothing better to do, I thought I’d humour them. After about 10 minutes of the app refusing to open, I confessed I was just messing about and wasting their time, like they were wasting mine. That’s when the bloke, with a really strong Indian accent, got properly angry and called me a bloody cow before telling me to go to hell!Virgin MediaBT OpenreachIndia5 yearsMy landline just got a call from 0198059432, and when I picked up, the woman on the other end sounded caught off guard and then abruptly ended the call. It’s really starting to get on my nerves. I’d suggest reporting it straight away to Virgin Media’s fraud department. The callers, sometimes male, sometimes female, speak with a strong Indian accent. They say there’s a problem with your internet because you have too many browsers open, which makes no sense - that depends on your RAM, not browsers. If you pay attention, you’ll hear other people in the background mentioning places like Amazon, eBay, Virgin Media or banks such as Lloyds, NatWest, and TSB. They try to keep you on the phone as long as possible, flooding you with nonsense to try and get your personal info. Looks like they especially target older folks, so watch out.Virgin MediaAmazoneBayLloydsTSBNatWest5 yearsThis number has rung me a couple of times, but I've no idea what they want.5 yearsTry grabbing a whistle and giving it a good blow into the receiver.5 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be with V.media saying they noticed weird stuff on my internet.
