I didn't pick up when they rang, but from what I've heard, it sounds like one of those dodgy energy scams.

I received a call from a chap who spoke with a distinct accent, claiming to represent Carphone Warehouse, and he was touting an offer for an iPhone 14. When I inquired about how he acquired my number, he was rather evasive and insisted he wouldn’t reveal that unless I disclosed my current phone model and contract specifics. Quite curious, isn't it?

Somebody said they were calling from Curry's PC World about a deal on a new iPhone. Couldn't really catch everything properly cause there was loads of noise in the background, like it was a super busy call centre or something.

This number, 01980 333031, has rung me several times in the past few days. The guy on the other end sounded Indian and said his name was something like “Sam,” but the call quality was so rubbish it was really hard to make out what he was saying. Whenever I told him I couldn’t hear properly, he got a bit annoyed, which just made it worse. He said he was from 02 and was offering some kind of discount. After a couple of calls, I just blocked the number. Proper hassle!

Got a call today from someone who wasn’t very clear at all. I asked him to say again who he was because I couldn’t catch what he was saying. Instead of repeating, he got annoyed and ended up just hanging up on me. Seems like a total scammer to me.

I phoned this number because I thought it was Yahoo help, given I couldn't get into my email. Right after I rang, they wanted me to fork out £40, which felt a bit dodgy. The thing is, I’d already told them my email and birthday. Fingers crossed this doesn’t cause any problems?
