Got a call from a bloke with a noticeable Asian accent, sounded way too enthusiastic for my liking. He used my name right away and said he was ringing from British Telecom. Asked how I was doing, all nice and friendly. I told him I was fine, but asked him what the call was about. Then he just hung up on me. We seem to get loads of calls like this, usually from numbers that look like they’re local here in the UK, but clearly aren’t. Feels like these scammers have somehow got hold of BT’s customer info. I’ve blocked this number now, but I bet they'll keep on trying.
