My mum got a call from this number saying there’d been a £2,000 spend on her credit card and to press a button to fix it with the bank. She just ended the call, but I reckon some people could easily fall for it.

This number was dialled to reach an elderly relation of mine. They claimed that their credit card had been subjected to some sort of fraudulent activity amounting to £2,000 or above. Thankfully, they've watched enough Scam Interceptor episodes to recognise the ruse and promptly terminated the call.
