Got a call today, 14th Feb, picked up and they just ended the call straight away.

Got another call today from England Financial Service about some PPI refund they claim i should get, like £1826.40 going into my bank by march or april 2019. They kept pushing me to get a life insurance policy to dodge 40% fees, but i told them i already have enough cover. Still, they wouldnt accept no for an answer, so i just ended the call and blocked the number.

Total scam. They kicked off by telling me I was owed about £1800 in PPI but warned the government would take about 40% away. Said the only way to avoid this was to get some tax-free investment like life insurance (how convenient). Then they tried pushing life insurance on me, passing me between three different people. When I said I was fine with the government taking their cut and just getting the rest, they just hung up on me.

I just finished talking to them. They kicked off by saying my PPI claim had been successful and I was owed cash. Then they asked me to confirm my address - but they used an old one from like 10 years back! I told the guy that wasn’t right and he said he’d check with his manager and ring me later. This is definitely a scam, but it could easily fool someone who isn't on their guard.

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from England Financial Service or something, with a thick accent, saying I was due £1348 from a PPI claim I supposedly made last year. I asked which bank had given him permission to call me, and he said not to worry, I’d get an official letter in the post. Then he asked for my name and address, and when he wanted my DOB, I said I wasn’t happy sharing that info. As soon as I said that, he just cut me off. Proper coward, ran off the moment he got challenged. Stay well clear of them!!

I just had a call from someone who said his name was Kevin and that my PPI claim had been approved and I was owed money. He claimed he already had all my info but then asked for my date of birth. I asked, "Don’t you already have that?" He said yes but needed me to confirm it matched their records. So, I gave him Harry Kane’s birthday instead. He then said that was the right DOB and a cheque would be sent out soon. Totally rubbish. I knew right away it was a scam.

Some bloke claiming to be from the financial ombudsman called me, said he needed to verify info about a claim I supposedly made. When I asked if he had my details already he just hung up. Why is it police can’t sort these lot out? Or are they too busy parking their panda cars at the station? 🤬😡🤯

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the Asian community saying a claim I made in 2016 was accepted and that I was owed a few thousand pounds. I never made any claim. Then he started pushing some life insurance policy he said he could set up for me. Told him straight up he was a scammer and told him to get lost. Stay clear of these chancers - block their number and delete the texts!

I got a call from someone saying they were from England Claim Services. The bloke said his name was Eric Johnson. When I asked more, he claimed they worked with the UK Government and said I was due some PPI money. I asked where he got my number from, and he just hung up on me. Seriously, steer clear of these people!

The bloke had a strong Indian accent and spoke really badly, claiming he was from the Ombudsman. I told him to send me the info by post cos I didn’t trust him. He hung up quick after that! Watch out, this sounds like a scam.
