On 5th April 2017, I got a call from 01978 624142 where someone said they were with TalkTalk and mentioned a problem with my computer. I didn’t hang about and got straight to the point, calling them out as scammers. I told them to stop ringing this number and then ended the call with a very clear message to f### off!

Got a call from this number, they said something about a TalkTalk problem. The person on the line had an Asian accent.

The number appeared to be local from Wrexham, but the people on the other end are definitely Indian. They claim they're calling from Talk Talk and that there's an issue with my computer. The moment I told them I wasn’t a Talk Talk customer, they just cut off. Pretty sure it's just a trick to make you share details and let them into your PC.

I reckon it’s probably those same dodgy numbers hitting up from 00442088348541 and 01614924898 as well. Just best to give them a miss.
