I never got who they were or which firm they claimed to be from. Now I just tell them to buzz off and slam the phone down. If 01978591019 calls again, it’s getting the block. Looks like it’s trying to pass itself off as a landline, but those first digits seem like a date or something.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Legal & General, trying to sell me life insurance. I asked if they could send the details to my email or postal address since I was about to head into a meeting. They said no, everything had to be done over the phone. I told them sorry but couldn’t trust they were legit, and then they just cut the call. Definitely felt like a scam!

I didnt get the callers name, but they claimed to represent several life insurance companies. I asked how one person could speak for a bunch of different insurers and if they were a separate company themselves. The person got really rude and snappy, then just ended the call. Definitely not legit. I just told them to hang up.

I recently received a phone call from someone purporting to be from Legal & General, suggesting they wanted to conduct a review of my life insurance policy. When I inquired if they could send me the information via email or to my residence, citing that I was on the brink of a meeting, the response was that they could exclusively provide it over the phone. I expressed my reservations, saying, “Unfortunately, I’m not inclined to trust that you are indeed who you claim to be...,” and before I could finish, the line went dead.
