Kept ringing but no one picked up.

Around 5 this evening, my missus picked up a phone call. The person on the other end asked what her name was, but she just kept quiet. Then they started saying she had some money waiting for her. When she said she wasn't bothered, the bloke swore at her and hung up straight away.

Got calls from some dodgy character claiming to be BT, going on about how our internet's gone public and we need to sort something out. The weird thing was it was a business line they were ringing, but they kept acting like it was a home number, asking for some bloke called Mr Watson. No idea who that is!

Just got a ring on my home phone from 01978 517070. I picked up and at first there was nothing but silence. After a bit, I heard some sounds like someone was there, not a robotic voice or anything, but then they ended the call straight away. Strange.

SCAM ALERT My elderly father, who’s 84, got a call from someone claiming he’d been paid too much by D&G, and they wanted his bank info. So dodgy! Luckily, I’ve taught him to never share any card or bank details over the phone. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the kitchen appliances refund team. I ended the call straight away, but I reckon she was going to try and get my bank info to sort out a refund. Pretty sure it was just a scam, so I’ve blocked the number now.
