I got a really polite woman on the phone claiming there’s funding for people who own their homes to help upgrade them. I played along for a bit, then told her we rent instead. She lost interest right away and quickly ended the call. Seems like a typical scam aimed at gullible homeowners. Best to just hang up straight away and not get involved.

I’ve had this number ring me a couple of times over the past couple of days, but they just dropped the call when I picked up. The third time, some woman called Rachel said she was from a housing research firm or something (didn’t quite catch the company’s name). I just ended the call. Since I’m ex-directory and on the TPS list, almost all unknown numbers that ring me are either scams or annoying telemarketers.
