11 yearssome bloke named mike rang me saying there was something wrong with my computer. I just told him he was trying to scam me and told him to get lost.Mike11 yearsThese folks with a very Asian accent keep ringing me up all the time. I just ignore their calls now, don't pick up anymore.11 yearsYeah, that 01978 code is from Wrexham, North Wales. I just dont pick up the phone now, if they call again I ignore them straight away. I reckon it’s someone I know anyway.WrexhamNorth Wales11 yearsGot three calls from this number today. The bloke on the line had a thick Asian accent and I could barely follow what he was saying. He claimed I was due £1800, but I have no clue from where. When I asked him to send a cheque to the address he gave me, he started asking if I was bankrupt and wanted my bank details to transfer the money (as if I’d fall for that). In the end, I told him to either post the cheque or keep the cash. He said he’d donate it to charity instead, I said fair enough, and he just hung up. Hopefully they’ve taken the hint and will stop calling me now.11 yearsThis number rang me at least eight times today, and I ended up cussing at whoever it was. After that, they kept calling back and hanging up over and over again.11 yearsI just ended the call when this bloke rang me. I told him I never had any loan, and he suddenly got quite nasty. I ended the call but a minute later he rang again, still banging on about a cheque for £1,500 waiting for me. I said, if you've got my details, why not just post the cheque? Then he just hung up on me. Weird encounter!11 yearsI got a call from this number back on 08/10/2015. The person asked for me by name and I said yes. Then he started talking about a loan I supposedly had with Barclays that I'd already paid off and that I could claim PPI. I told him I never had a loan with Barclays but he kept pushing, saying "don’t you want your money?" and that I was due about £1,500. I challenged him on this, and he passed me over to a guy with an English accent. The first caller had an Indian accent. I explained the same thing to the second person and he said if that’s the case, he couldn’t help me.Barclays11 yearsOn 9th October 2015, this guy (from India) rang again so I handed the call to my partner who started grilling him. He asked what the company's name was, and the caller said it was PPI Reclaim Ltd. When asked if the company was officially registered at Companies House, he said yes. But as soon as we asked for the registration number, he just cut the call. I tried ringing that number back and got a message saying it’s no longer working. Seriously, watch out for these sorts of calls.PPI Reclaim LtdCompanies House11 yearsAlways getting rude calls nonstop.11 yearsMy mum and dad got a call about a loan just like the one mentioned, but they shut it down right away. So glad they didn't fall for that scam, these con artists are everywhere!11 yearsSomeone rang saying I’d got a loan back in 2005 which I paid off in 2009 and that I could claim PPI. After a bit of back and forth, the bloke started shouting swear words at me and then just ended the call. Then the next day, the same person called again, and when I asked how they got my number, they just swore at me once more and disconnected.11 yearsGot a phone call from a bloke who claimed I’d taken a loan back in 2006, which is totally wrong because I’ve never had one. When I asked him for his company info, he just hung up on me. The guy spoke with an Asian accent. I checked the number with 1471 and it showed up as 0197841254.11 yearsLike the last couple of folks mentioned, I got a call from an Asian bloke claiming I was due 1,400 quid from a loan back in 2009. I told him I don’t recall taking any loan then he just ended the call on me. Judging by the line quality, this definitely wasn’t a UK number, sounded like it was from overseas. I’ve blocked that number already.Submit Your Own Report (01978 41254)
