Got a call from an Asian bloke saying my PPI claim had been sorted and he needed my bank details to send the cash. When I said I hadn’t made any claim like that, he just hung up on me.

What’s the best way to get rid of these calls for good? You block one number and before you know it, they’ve passed it onto another bunch of scammers, sometimes over a hundred, and they keep calling from different ones - lots of times from abroad but the number looks like a UK one, so we (probably naively) pick up. Seriously, how can we put an end to this???!!!

This number won't stop ringing me. I picked up today and the bloke said he just needed 30 seconds to ask some questions. I said no, and asked if he could remove my number from their list. He said it would cost me £100, then he kept repeating it! Seriously?! When I asked his name, he just hung up. I've blocked it now!

Isn’t this against the new data protection rules now? I’ve got the number and the company’s name! They called me on my work phone today. I just fed him a load of rubbish! Was actually quite funny messing about with him while chilling in the sun!

Called by UK choice. Said he had a few quick questions, claimed it would only take about 20 seconds. When I seemed doubtful he changed it to 30 seconds. I answered them but then after he said final question, he kept going with more. When I pointed this out he just dropped the call. Definitely felt pushy and quite impolite.

This morning my mum got a call on her mobile from someone who sounded Asian, claiming to be from UK Choice. He asked for just 30 seconds to ask some questions, and mum agreed as long as it was quick. Then he started asking her to confirm her name and address, followed by her age. Mum didn’t want to answer anymore and ended the call. Later, the same number rang again but mum ignored it. When she checked the voicemail, the guy was yelling rude names at her!

A chap from overseas reached out, requesting that I respond to three brief questions. I politely refused, mentioning that I had been through this rigmarole previously and requested to be removed from their records. His response was to call me a dishonest person, which I found rather cheeky. I ended the call and promptly blocked the number. It's curious really, as my number isn’t listed anywhere, so I have no idea how he managed to get hold of it.

Got a call on my mobile yesterday (didn't pick up, no voicemail) and again today. The person sounded like an Asian lady, but the connection was really bad.
