SCAM ALERT! They rang me saying my PPI claim from July 2016 was approved. They asked to confirm my name (which was old) and address, then wanted my date of birth. I asked very calmly which company I’d supposedly instructed to handle the claim and which paperwork I'd filled out. Right after that, the caller just hung up on me. Absolutely DO NOT share any personal details with these people!!!

Picked up the phone to nobody speaking, usually means it’s a power dialer messing about! Tried ringing them back but was met with a message saying the voicemail was full - probably annoyed people leaving angry messages. Cheers to the others here for the tip, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

They asked if it was me, and the moment I said yes, they just ended the call.

Some bloke rang me about my PPI payout sayin it was approved. He kept mentioning an old address of mine. When he asked for where I live now, I refused to tell him and he just dropped the call. I've blocked that number since then.

Just got a call a bit ago, the person said my name straight away. I asked who they were and what they wanted with this private number, then they just hung up. Looks like a scam to me.

Honestly, if no one picks up, perhaps they'll be motivated to seek out legitimate employment instead.

I picked up the phone and a bloke with a strong Pakistani accent told me he was calling from the UK about my PPI claim being approved. But as soon as I told him I never made any PPI claim, he just ended the call straight away.
