Got a call today from a bloke saying he was with BT OpenReach. He told me they’d detected an issue with my router’s signal and urged me to open a file on my computer so he could explain what’s wrong. He kept stressing that if I ignored it, the router would slow down and eventually stop working. The guy said his name was Peter Alan and the phone number he called from showed up on my screen. He spoke with an Indian accent throughout.
