I was on the receiving end of a call from this number at 6:46 PM. A bloke with quite a pronounced Asian accent was on the line, inquiring whether I was the primary user of the computer at my residence. I played a bit thick, and surprisingly, he decided to hang up. It's worth mentioning I've had my number for over two decades now. I'm left utterly puzzled by how he seemed to know both my name and my number. The digits were 01977707233.

Yet another call from someone with a thick Indian accent, claiming there's an issue with my computer - I can spot a scam from a mile away. What really concerns me, though, is the sheer volume of these calls: around three a day, all from different numbers, some marked as "unavailable" and a handful coming from abroad. I’ve kept my current number for just five months, it's unlisted, and I’m quite careful about where I divulge it. The only explanation I can come up with is that a so-called "trustworthy" business has shared my details without my consent. I've now resorted to keeping my answerphone on all the time, and I’m screening all incoming calls. Frustrating, to say the least!

I was met with a bit of a pause before a chap with an Indian accent inquired if I was, indeed, me, and how I was faring. Curious, I probed for his identity, to which he replied, "Abi from The Tech Helpline." At that point, I swiftly ended the call-had a feeling I knew exactly what kind of spiel he was gearing up to deliver. Maybe next time, I ought to throw him a curveball and ask if he’s interested in investing in something that’s a guaranteed win!

Received a call today from this number, claiming to be from someone called James Wilson-sounds a bit dodgy, doesn’t it? The chap had a thick Indian accent that was hard to miss. I allowed him to ramble on for a bit before I eventually told him to do one and find something worthwhile to do. It’s quite amusing how they stick to their script even when you challenge them about their scam, isn’t it? And why do they always seem to pick the most inconvenient times to ring? It was right in the middle of feeding the dogs and preparing dinner on a Sunday afternoon-absolutely infuriating!

I received a call today that left me rather puzzled-there was nothing but silence on the line, which suggests they might be employing some sort of autodialler. I gave it a go and tried to ring back, but it went straight to an unobtainable tone. Quite the curious twist on what’s typically labelled as an 'International Call', but judging by the previous feedback, it certainly seems like one to steer clear of; quite the scam, if you ask me!

Goodness me, they've certainly been active lately! I just received a call, and out of sheer curiosity, I decided to call the number back. It went straight to 'number unavailable,' how odd! Typically, if I accidentally answer one of these calls, I just let them ramble on while I pop the phone on speaker and dash off to brew myself a nice cup of tea. They seem to take the hint and hang up before long! Oh, and my kids and I have also been known to break into raucous renditions of Christmas carols (rather out of tune, if I may add) in the midst of a scorching summer. That tends to do the trick too!

Received a call earlier today, and it was utterly bizarre - the caller didn’t say a thing for half a minute before abruptly hanging up. Strange behaviour, don’t you think?

I received a ring from this number not too long ago. I held on until someone finally got to speak, claiming they were from Microsoft and insisted that my computer had a virus which they could resolve immediately if only I'd switch it on and follow their guidance. I played along for a bit, but eventually made it abundantly clear that I recognised the whole thing as a scam and mentioned that my phone was being monitored before I ended the call. To my surprise, they rang me back almost instantly, questioning why I appeared cross with them and insisting they were truly from Microsoft, all the while wishing me a pleasant day before hanging up again. The caller’s accent suggested they were from the subcontinent.

I recently got a call from what I suspect is an Indian scam operation masquerading behind this number. The caller was attempting the old "Your computer has a virus" routine. I managed to keep him on the line for close to 15 minutes while he tried to guide me through various methods to access the Windows run command. Little did he know, I don't even use Windows! Eventually, he grew increasingly exasperated and hung up when nothing he anticipated would pop up on my screen did. I suppose he didn’t reckon with the fact that I'm a Linux user. I suppose it was 15 minutes well-spent, preventing him from conning someone less tech-savvy. It’s a minor triumph, to be sure, but I can't help but wish I could have seen his bewildered expression as the telephonic charade unraveled. Ah well!

Fraudsters alert! Just received a call claiming my computer is infected with a virus. I mean, come on! It's disheartening how many unsuspecting folks fall for this nonsense. Steer clear of these con artists!

I just had a rather tiresome call from someone with an Indian accent, waffling on about "your computer has junk files downloaded" or something equally absurd. What a complete waste of time!

Absolute con! Don't let yourself be fooled!

Received a call that was eerily quiet for around 20 seconds, not a single sound on the other end. I decided it was best to just end the call.
