My elderly aunt, who’s 80, got a call earlier from this number. A woman on the line said she was calling from Halifax Bank about some letter her aunt supposedly got about branch closures. She then asked if my aunt understood what was happening and whether she held a current account there. That’s when my aunt got uneasy and quickly hung up. Afterwards, she rang Halifax direct who confirmed they wouldn’t make calls like that. The whole thing really upset her and left her pretty shaken. The call came through on her home phone. Could someone look into this please?
