Got a call from this number today but didn't pick up since it was ringing at that usual time when all the scammers tend to call. They didn’t bother to leave any message on the answerphone either.

Got a call from them earlier but they didn’t leave any message. After seeing what people have shared here, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

I answered a call and got a robotic message telling me to press one if I wanted to cancel my Prime subscription. After pressing, a real person came on and started asking if I was on a phone or computer, then pushed me to go to a website - that definitely looked dodgy and could steal your info. Don’t fall for it and definitely don’t go on any sites they suggest, it’s a total con! When I mentioned that I’m in the legal profession, which I am, they began to swear at me. There’s no way this is legit Amazon!

It seems there's a clever scam going round where someone impersonates Amazon Prime. When you hit '1' to cancel your subscription, they then inquire whether you’re using a computer or a smartphone, and subsequently direct you to a dubious website. For heaven's sake, don't go anywhere near that link-it's a ruse designed to trick you into downloading harmful software for fraudulent purposes. Be warned, it's a total con!
