Got a call this morning around 7:57 on 6/2. Answered but it was just some recorded message, so I hung up straight away.

Got a call early this morning, around 7:45, with an automated message warning me about some urgent problem. Then a lady with a strong Asian accent came on, saying she was from OFCOM’s tech team. She started chatting about my broadband and asked how many gadgets I had linked up. I told her, “First time some Indian scammer’s called me,” and she just cut the call.

Then a real person answered but sounded annoyed and doubted she was actually from OFCOM before just hanging up. After that, the same number rang me silently three times within about an hour. Got a voicemail from OFCOM, sounded dodgy so I just ended the call straight away. I tried to block the number using BT1572, but it took a bit before the line was free again. Heads up, don’t stay connected too long or ring back quickly, they’re apparently tracking your number!

Got two calls this morning, first about 7:50 then again around 8:30, from some folks claiming to be with OFCOM, asking me to hook up to my internet. When I queried where they were calling from, they just ended the call. I blocked the first number, but they rang back from a different number but with the same local code. That one’s blocked too now. Honestly, these lot are just scoundrels trying to con vulnerable people out of cash; they deserve to be put away.
