Got a call from some bloke with a really posh English accent, sounding super proper. He said it was BT passing on a message about my broadband and landline getting cut off today. Then he told me to press 1 to stop it or 2 to cancel the cut-off. Thing is, I didn’t press any buttons ‘cos there’s no broadband on the number they called! Bit more cunning than the usual scam calls where the voice sounds weird or robotic. I reckon older folks who aren’t so clued up might easily get fooled by this one.
