As soon as I picked up the phone, the caller ended the call immediately, and this happened not once, but twice in quick succession. I've now gone ahead and blocked the number!

I keep getting calls from a call centre, usually from someone with a British accent asking to speak to Mr Rapjohns. It happens a few times each week now, and it’s really starting to get on my nerves. Most times, I just question their background a bit before ending the call.

They were total scammers, trying to fish out more info from me. I just fed them loads of rubbish details. Without a doubt, it’s a scam because I even made up fake postcodes and car numbers that don't exist at all. Couldn’t fool me!

Same thing happened with me, as Pete mentioned. The moment I picked up, the caller quickly ended the call. I'm guessing it might be a hotel or some tourist place, because the only spot where I shared my phone number in London was a hotel.
