I received a call from a woman who had an Asian accent, claiming to provide a complimentary inspection for loft insulation. She even had my address and postcode to hand! I expressed my disinterest and promptly ended the call.

Connected to the number 02036956786. My phone displayed the number 01975359021 instead, but BT’s last recorded block shows the one mentioned above. It appears to be a potential scam.

Despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service, I got a call from this number. They didn’t bother to leave a message on my voicemail either. As I’m not familiar with anyone in that part of the country, I’m led to believe this might be some sort of dodgy scam.

The person on the other end claimed they were contacting me regarding a medical questionnaire I had completed, and they were offering assistance in case of emergencies like a trip or a tumble, among other things.

Got a call which rang once and then disconnected before I could pick it up. Since I hardly ever use my BT phone, I reckon it must have been a scam or something dodgy.

I don't have any acquaintances in Strathdon, and I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service! Quite dodgy, if you ask me.

Concerning the loft insulation issue, I wrapped up the conversation and subsequently decided to block the number.

Received a call on my home phone from 01975359021 this morning, specifically at about 11.20am on the 31st of May, 2024. As soon as my answering machine activated, they hung up. Oddly enough, no voicemail was recorded. I'm registered with TPS, but it hardly seems to deter these callers…
