Earlier today, I received a rather suspicious call on my home phone, featuring one of those automated voices droning on about fraud. It instructed me to press 1 once the message was finished. Instead of engaging, I simply hung up and decided to ring the number back using my mobile. However, when I called, it just rang a few times before going silent. The number in question is 01972 5888758.

I received a rather dubious call from this number, with someone claiming to be from a company related to accidents – though I can't recall the exact name. They were keen to know about my car accident and promised compensation in the range of three to four thousand pounds. When they inquired whether the accident was my fault, I clarified that it certainly wasn’t. Then, they pressed on about the other party being responsible and sought further details on the incident. I informed them that my solicitor has all the pertinent information and suggested they reach out to them. At that point, the caller abruptly hung up! This definitely feels like a scam – stay cautious and refrain from revealing any personal information.

Received a bothersome call today – when I picked up, it was dead air on the other end. I tried to return the call only to be met with a message saying "number not recognised." It clearly seems like one of those automated spam calls. Best to just disregard it.

Bloke seems to have a Taiwanese twang! Clearly just phoning through random digits, as he rang a series of our business numbers, faxes included. Went by the name of ‘accident help line’. As soon as I started probing, he cut the line quicker than you can say ‘dodgy’. Best to steer clear of these types, I’d say!

An Asian gentleman rang me up, trying to pry into the particulars of a recent mishap, which has already been thoroughly resolved. I assured him there was no incident and promptly ended the call.
