Some bloke with a weird accent rang and wanted me by my full name. I said no one like that was around. I asked who was on the line but got no reply. Then they asked when that person would be here, and I said I had no clue. I tried asking who it was again, still nothing. Gave it one last shot asking who was calling, then they just hung up. Got a call from someone claiming to be with LifeQuoteCompare. They already had my address and postcode right, then started asking about my life insurance costs and even my height and weight. Since I was having lunch and wanted a bit of fun, I decided to drag it out - asking them to spell things out, telling them to speak louder and all that. Ended up burning over 10 minutes of their time, finally got passed to a “senior supervisor”. Sadly, I must have pushed their buttons because they just hung up on me!

They said they weren’t after any personal details and weren’t trying to sell anything, which sounded a bit fishy. Then they started grilling me about how much I pay for life insurance - I said I wasn’t sure - and asked about my mortgage, again I didn’t know. Then they moved on to health stuff, asking height and if I smoked or not. Seriously, if that’s not personal, what is? I refused to answer any more questions and tried to keep her on the line just to mess about, but she eventually just hung up on me.
