I got calls 3 times today from this number, each time I picked up twice they just dropped the call on me. The other time someone asked if I was a particular person, I said I didn’t know anyone by that name, then they asked if I was family, and when I said no they just ended the call. It says the call’s from Aberystwyth but you can tell it’s really some call centre in India.

I've been getting calls from a chap with an Indian accent for several days now, using various numbers. It’s a bit peculiar, really, as he insists on asking me a few questions but refuses to share what they are until I've confirmed my name and address - which, I might add, he clearly already has. Sounds like a classic fishing scam to me, but who can say for sure? I simply refuse to provide any information, so he usually just hangs up on me when I don’t play along. It makes me wonder when they'll grasp the fact that not everyone falls for their dodgy tactics. Honestly, it’s rather infuriating!
