When I picked up the call, it was completely quiet – just dead air. I kept saying 'hello' over and over until I thought I might go mad from the waiting. Then I noticed I could hear their breaths. What on earth is the purpose of this?

Who on earth is this? I don’t recognise anyone from that number! I've been inundated with a flurry of calls from various places across the UK, and honestly, they hold no significance for me whatsoever. Are these just nuisance calls? Maybe some dodgy scams? Or perhaps another PPI nuisance? It’s all rather tiresome!

It appears to be a no-win, no-fee arrangement. I've been getting calls from some cheeky scousers based in Aberystwyth, probably trying to pull a fast one.
