8 yearsThis is the second occasion I’ve had a call from this number, yet I don’t know anyone connected to it. The woman who called has an accent quite like my late aunty’s, who used to live in Scarborough. Whoever she is, she started the call by using my first name. This time, she asked if I’d received my medical results yet. I assumed it was my doctor checking in. When I asked who she was and mentioned she’d called last week, she just said sorry and then hung up. I’m 76 years old and find this all a bit unsettling. I really just want it to stop.
